Take a semester off to intern and travel with Campus MovieFest (CMF), the world’s largest student film festival!

An exceptional opportunity to learn or further your experience related to event management and event promotions, Campus MovieFest (CMF) gives you an unparalleled, hands-on chance to dig into the inner workings of the world’s largest student film festival. CMF tours college and university campuses around the country bringing students the opportunity to create their own 5-minute short films in one week.

Working with the CMF touring team on specific projects, you will have direct access to understanding and helping manage events on the tour. This includes working with students and staff on college and university campuses to promote the filmmaking opportunity to students as well as helping to manage our Info Session, Launch, Collection and Finale Screening events on campus. While a video production background is not required, there is an incredible opportunity to expand your filming and editing skills and creative writing abilities.

CMF also works with state-of-the-art technology companies like Adobe, Sennheiser, and Panasonic to expose students to the latest in camera, audio and editing opportunities. As part of the CMF co-op, you will serve as a brand ambassador to promote these partnerships and have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with the gear.

This position includes travel to our main office in Atlanta with the potential to tour many of our East Coast and West Coast schools in Arizona, California, North Carolina, Virginia, Connecticut, and more. The company will cover all travel, housing, and up to 60 meals while on tour. An additional $650.00 living stipend will be included each month. We also have morale budgets that allow you to do fun activities in each area of the country where your tour will be traveling.

Goals

• Develop and execute fresh marketing strategies and promotional schedules for CMF college and university campuses
• Work with students and staff on campus to help promote CMF through flyering, tabling, in class presentations, etc.
• Assist thousands of students in making short films

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a promotions strategy unique to each campus
• Engage students about technology in an out-going, friendly manner
• Maintain CMF schools’ Facebook event pages, Twitter, and other Social Media accounts
• Physical on-campus promotions including tabling and flyering
• Get as many groups as possible to sign-up for CMF and encourage groups to complete their films
• Help orchestrate the CMF Info Session, Launch, Collection and Finale Screening events
• Create new and innovative ways to make CMF a greater success and add value to the students’ experience
• Book and confirm event reservations and catering for Info Session, Launch, Collection, and Finale events
• Help track and manage valuable equipment

Background of Campus MovieFest

Campus MovieFest (CMF), the world’s largest student film festival, provides teams of students with cameras, laptops, support, and everything they need to create short movies in a week. The top films enjoy a campus-wide showcase at the school’s red carpet finale, giving masses of students the opportunity to share their story on the big screen! CMF started as a dream for a group of students at Emory University in 2001, realizing how the movie-making experience can foster learning, development, teamwork, and community. Since then, Campus MovieFest has enabled over

1,000,000 students around the world to tell their stories on the big screen. CMF is the only event of its kind to provide all the necessary equipment (including laptops and digital cameras) plus training and 24/7 technical support so students can create short movies that are shared with the world. A campus-wide red carpet finale at each school showcases the best of the best short movies, encouraging school spirit and creativity, with the top movies then moving on our Grand Finale, which will take place in the summer of 2016.
